Archer and his new life in Texas
|
Our gun season opened Saturday so Archer and I were in
West Texas to see it in. Besides being the main attraction in
deer camp he was able to work three live lines and finished
them all with one of them being at night. I will have to admit
that we would probably have found all three deer without him
but it was still a great experience for him. The longest line was
probably just 60 yards but regardless I and everyone else
was impressed with him at 16 weeks of age. He also found out
that just about everything in Texas either sticks, stings or bites
but he handled the prickly pear and other cactus really well. All
and all Ken I couldn't have asked anymore out of a puppy his
age and I just want to thank you for giving me the chance to
own what I believe will grow into a great tracking dog with a
little time and experience along with being a great hunting
companion.
