The month of May we have been getting ready for our first breeding here at Hillock Kennels. It started with us sending in
our pedigree and registration information to Puerto Rico on March 7th so that Baby would be listed in their stud book.
Well after a month and our information still had not arrived I was getting really worried. Finally 1 1/2 months later the
paper work shows up(April 22). Looking at the dates stamped on the letter it is obvious someone here in the states lost
the letter for over a month. Well they finally had it and got us in the books. I was the guinea pig for this process. Since it
worked out we planned to send Tiger's paper work in. Well before we could do this Baby came into heat a month early
(May 1). We sent Tiger's papers down certified over night express. I have spoken to the Lady at FCI Puerto Rico and
she stated she would try to get his papers registered with them in the stud book but no guarantees since they had an
international dog show on May 14 and most of their attention was focused on it. Due to this timing it is very unlikely we
will find out if Tiger makes the books until after the date comes for breeding. I have contacted the first 7 people on my
list giving them this information. Of these 4 have contacted me back and stated that yes they would still like a puppy. I
also have two who just contacted me that also stated they would take a puppy even if it is not registered. With these
individuals still wanting a puppy we have decided to go ahead and breed. The puppies should be born around the
middle of July and can be picked up or shipped around the last of Sept., just in time for hunting season.
If you are interested in a puppy contact me and we can add you to the list after we talk to you and approve you through
an informal q and a time. I will be offering puppies to people who have already contacted me and been approved but if
they do not respond or do not wish to purchase a puppy at this time or under these circumstances then I will continue on
down the list. Keep an eye on this page as I will be updating it all along with details about actual breeding dates and
when the puppies arrive I will be posting pictures to this page along with number of puppies and their sex.
UPDATE 5/27/06 We now have received both pedigrees back from Puerto Rico. Both dogs are now on
the stud books with the FCI down there. It is a little confusing trying to understand the lady that handles registration
of the dogs since English in not her first language and I do not speak any Spanish. But from what I am gathering from
her broken English is that now the puppies will be eligible for registration.
I have also eliminated many on my previous list who wanted a puppy because of either their situation has changed,
they already have gotten a tracking dog, or they just have not replied to my e-mails. As of right now I only have
deposits on 4 puppies with 2 more promising to send deposits. So if you are interested in a puppy this breeding
contact me as it looks like we will be able to add a few new names to the list.
Two weeks to go. Looks like she could pop any
time now.
Looking for food that might have hit the floor.

In the bay window, her look out post where she
can watch the neighbor's horses.
Exercise break, watching the horses run around.
Well we did not make it the full 63 days. Puppies started arriving at 11:25 pm on July 12 after 24 hrs of restlessness.
The last puppy arrived at 4:30 am on the 13th. We have 3 girls and 5 boys, 3 more puppies than the vet figured by the
x-ray. Mom and puppies are doing fine. Baby has been a wonderful mom. Being her first litter we did not know what
expect but she did it like she was an old pro.
